Mrs. Helene Chatelain was born Helene Farrell on May 3, 1903 in Pendleton near Bourget Ontario, Canada. Growing up as the youngest child in a family of 13 children, Helene’s family were store keepers. Her parents owned a large house in Pendleton across the street from the store they operated.
107 Years Young
Helene followed her dream as a young child and became a school teacher. She later married her husband who was a banker. Helene spoke to Key Records about her love of cooking and socializing with guests. Today Helene lives in Ottawa, Canada and is known by her married name, Mrs. Chatelain. She is the oldest living person in Ottawa at a documented age of 107 years old.
